Nujabes feat. Shing02「Luv(sic) pt.5」意味考察・解説
Nujabes（ヌジャベス）の死後に完成した「Luv(sic) pt.5」。テーマは「死別」と「喪失」。突然の別れ（交通事故）を暗示する悲痛なリリックと、それでも消えない笑顔の記憶を、情感豊かに和訳・解説します。
Luv(sic)シリーズの第5作目であるこの曲は、シリーズの中で最も悲痛で、最も神聖な一曲です。
2010年2月、Nujabes（Jun Seba）が交通事故で急逝。その直後、残されたビートとデモを元にShing02が完成させたのがこの「Part 5」です（※元々は、若くして亡くなった共通の友人ビートボクサー、Jeff Resurreccionへの追悼として制作が進んでいたと言われていますが、完成時にはNujabes自身へのレクイエムとしての意味合いも強く帯びることになりました）。
歌詞の内容は、明らかにNujabesの死因（交通事故）を連想させる描写に満ちています。
「Getting blind-sided and eating the wind shield（死角から追突され、フロントガラスに突っ込む）」「Endless field of shards of glass（一面のガラスの破片）」といったラインは、あまりにも生々しく、Shing02の悲しみと衝撃の大きさを物語っています。
しかし、この曲は単なる嘆きの歌ではありません。
「Life is art（人生は芸術だ）」
「I must tell you that you lived beautifully（君は美しく生きた）」
最後のアウトロで語られるこの言葉は、早すぎる死を迎えた友への、これ以上ない最大級の賛辞です。
暗く重い「鉛の蓋」のような悲しみの中でも、「君の笑顔だけが輝いている（Your smile is the only thing that shines）」と繰り返すことで、遺された者たちが前を向くための光を見出そうとする、魂の救済の歌と言えるでしょう🙏✨
